This page explains what data Floaty.dev collects, why, and how it is used.
What We Collect
Account information. When you sign in via GitHub or Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We store these to identify your account and display your public profile.
Content you create. Playgrounds and plugins you save are stored on our servers so you can access them later and, if you choose, share them publicly.
Usage data. We collect basic server logs (pages visited, timestamps, browser type). These help us diagnose problems and understand how the service is being used. We do not build individual profiles from this data.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not run advertising networks or behavioural tracking.
- We do not store payment information (there is no paid tier).
Cookies
Floaty uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Your dark/light mode preference is stored in localStorage, not a cookie.
Third Parties
Authentication is handled by GitHub and Google. Their privacy policies apply when you sign in through them. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Data Retention
Your account and content remain until you delete them. You can delete your playgrounds and plugins at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights contact us at [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will reflect the latest revision.
